We are the owner of possibly the oldest Duett the world, the P445a 1950 (qv); further we also own one of the youngest Duetts: this P210P from 1969, chassis number 96820.

The last one rolled off the assembly line had number 97299, so after our Duett only 479 copies were produced of the nearly 100,000 units.

We acquired this Duett in 1993 by Sietze who didn't want to continue the restoration after the panel beater in the village of Dieren indicated to stop this project.

Almost all parts are present. What is missing are the shields under the engine compartment and the front bumper.

The car has driven in Denmark until February 1986 with registration JX46233. She then moved to Germany and was there until December of that year registration WST-HX287 and later OS TH298. There registration stopped on February 2, 1990 and she probably came to the Netherlands then.

We contacted the former owners and asked for history and old photos. Unfortunately one letter was returned: address unknown, from the second no reply.

We have tackled the sheet metalwork again, bought a good front through Nordicar and the upholstery, from the headlining to the dashboard, from front seats to the rear seat, everything is new and where necessary painted, ready for the final paint job.

The instrument panel is also more beautiful than new, sprayed in wrinkle coating, of course.

As a tribute to the time that we were both active for the former V44 Association in Member Administration and the Parts Depot VOD, we decided to spray the Duett in color number 84 with black mudguards and front.
