On September 24, 1975 Jos registered this PV 544F to his name. The first registration was on March 19, 1965 in The Hague.
As far as he can determine he is the second owner.
His intention was not to drive the car daily, but first to perform a proper restoration. The car was parked in a rented garage. He wanted many new replacement parts, so he needed some time and money. Will Spijkers from Tilburg drove a PV with the same color and wanted to buy the front, that was the first component that went off. And since then she has been parked for years in various places.
In the eighties of the last century, Jos started the disassembly. After partial disassembly lots of problems showed up because of what storage was resumed.
In the beginning of 2000 restoration has been restarted, which also was interrupted. But now the restoration is finished, where much of the bodywork was restored and many new parts are purchased.
On the 40th anniversary of VKV, the Volvo Classic Association, she made her first trip in concourse condition.
In December 2016, Jos was busy cleaning up accumulated stuff and thereby he found various bills from the previous owner. When everything was arranged neatly it appeared that on January 27 1975 the contact breaker set, distributor and oil had been replaced by Volvo-workshop Willem Bree & Zoon in Rotterdam, kilometrage 89343. Meanwhile, in December 2016, the odometer shows 91459 ..
