Two shades of green 73+94
Unique: yes, if you can restore one of the last 6 known copies.
Duett, no, not yet. Volvo supplied chassis with nose and all technology, such as engine, drive and brakes, especially for the body builders. It was only when Volvo itself designed a delivery van based on this chassis that the word Duett emerged from a marketing point of view.

Like most of our cars, this one has been standing for too long. We haven't done anything to the body itself yet, but we did on the inside: all seats have been fully restored, as well as the floor. The dashboard has been dismantled and is ready to be refurbished.

All aluminum trim elements are polished and ready for installation.

Unique, yes, however no Duett...

What could be better than owning both a PV444a and a PV444as?
Indeed: also owning a P445a, of which only 500 were produced... That luck came in 2003.
The wheels have been blasted and sprayed in these two colors after epoxy primer and filler. Have new tires shipped in from England via Paul Bestebreurtje from Barendrecht. We have the hubcap clamps newly galvanized and mounted, with this result..
PHOTO-ALBUMS
Front doors
The 445 was painted in two shades of green before the restoration. We therefore have decided that she will have two shades of green again: Volvo colors 73 and 94.
Advertising Agency Claassen (info@claassen.nl) has edited the above photo for us with approximately the new colors.
Furthermore, the front doors have been dismantled and the door lock and window mechanisms have been disassembled, cleaned and painted and reassembled with fresh grease.
The next step is to tackle the wooden construction of the doors. Although not unstable, we treated all joints with 2-component filler material and sanded the wood by machine, both belt and random orbit sanders. Ready for 3 coats of Ruwa yacht lacquer.
The same treatment also needs the inside of the right flank; First make new parts from oak and glue them in with the above-mentioned 2K glue and filling material.
